Hello, I'm Yemisi. I bring 10+ years of experience supporting individuals and families through my work as a caregiver, mentor, and counsellor. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centred. With dual certification in trauma and shame, I'm dedicated to supporting you as you navigate healing, emotional resilience, and meaningful personal growth from your lived experiences.
As an immigrant, I have a deep understanding of the complexities of cultural identity, intersectionality, and belonging. I am passionate about creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, immigrant, and faith-based communities, can feel seen, understood, and empowered. I work with individuals and couples, offering support in English and Yoruba.
My integrative therapeutic approach draws from Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Adlerian principles, and Solution-Focused methods.
